Per serving: Combine
½ cup oats,
1 cup almond milk,
1 TBsp sliced almonds, and
1 chopped apple.
Refrigerate overnight and enjoy.
Serves 6
1 Stick unsalted butter
1 Cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp corn syrup
8-9" round loaf of bread (I use sliced square bread)
5 large eggs
1 ½ cups half and half cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp Grand Marnier liquor (can substitute orange extract)
¼ tsp Salt
Melt butter with sugar and corn syrup. Stirring until smooth.
Pour into 13x9 baking pan.
Cut 6 1-inch thick slices of bread from center of loaf. Arrange in pan.
Whip together eggs, cream, vanilla, grand marnier, salt until smooth, and pour evenly over the bread.
Chill, covered at least 8 hours.
Bake uncovered at 350
Is it too late to add a recipe for the church cookbook?? Following is recipe for an Egg & Sausage Casserole. Sorry, we were traveling out of the country.
1 pound sausage browned and drained
2 cups Cheddar Cheese
1 Can Mushroom Soup
2-1/2 cups milk
4 eggs
¾ tsp. dry mustard
Grease 9 x 13 pan – layer first croutons, sausage, cheese & mushrooms. Mix soup, milk and eggs together and pour over top. Refrigerate overnight and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
