Tons of information for students and families about preparing for college, choosing a college, and paying for college.
We are part of a project created by the University of Minnesota that has the goal of helping students be better prepared for their opportunities after high school. All HHS students get this curriculum throughout the year embedded in classes - Health 7 & 10, FaCS 8, Civics 9, World History 11, and Senior Social - as well as in presentations and events. The curriculum is focused on helping students have more knowledge in the areas of academic readiness, admissions readiness, career readiness, financial readiness, and personal/social readiness. We were fortunate to be selected to be part of Cohort I of this program which started during the 2012-13 school year.
The ACT is offered each spring to juniors at Hawley High School. This school-based test date is typically early April. Registration information will be shared in Mrs. Siegel's junior English classes in early winter. For more information about school-day testing, contact Ms. Anderson, HHS Principal.
Students that don't take it on the school date or wish to re-take it can register for a national testing date at the ACT website. You'll need to create an account and then will be able to register for the date and location for ACT testing. Within your account, you can also view scores and order your scores to be sent to colleges.
