If you're looking for help, this page provides some resources to help you along the way. You can always stop in to see us, too! While we can't provide the in-depth, long-term therapy a trained clinician can, we can help provide day-to-day support, a listening ear, and some suggestions on where to go for further support if needed.
To set up a time to see Mr. Esterby or Mrs. Boeshans, get in touch with us - stop by between classes, leave us a note, send us an email, or give us a phone call - whatever method works best for you. While Mr. Esterby works primarily with 7th-9th graders and Mrs. Boeshans works primarily with 10th-12th graders, feel free to reach out to either of us. You can choose the school counselor you feel most comfortable working with!

Did you know there is a quiet, private space at the high school available to any student who needs a space to calm and collect themselves? The calming room is located in one of the back rooms in the office and is available to any student by simply asking any of the office staff if you can use it. We've stocked the calming room with a variety of resources and tools to help you calm yourself - fidgets, coloring pages, books, blank paper and writing/drawing supplies, activity books, etc. There is even an iPad loaded with calming apps you can try out - just ask Mr. Esterby for it!

Mrs. Boeshans developd a series of PSA (Public Service Anouncement) videos around specific topics that may be useful to students during the 2020-21 school year. These videos were posted on School Counseling Google Classrooms (grades 10-12) and emailed to grades 7-9 during that time, but can also be viewed via YouTube.
This video series was developed by Mrs. Boeshans during distance learning in spring 2020 with the goals of modeling open and authentic conversations about how people are doing during the COVID-19 pandemic as well sharing a variety of self-care approaches. The series was shared with 10th-12th graders via Mrs. Boeshans's Google Classroom during that time.
