NORTHWESTERN FIGURE SKATING
NORTHWESTERN FIGURE SKATING
Founded in 2004, the Northwestern University Figure Skating Club (NUFSC), is home to the Northwestern Synchronized Skating Team (The Purple Line) and Intercollegiate Freestyle Team. The club provides skaters of all levels with the unique opportunity to continue their figure skating journey during college, competing in both local and sectional competitions.
Northwestern Figure Skating is recognized as a club sport at Northwestern University and is registered as an Open Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team and Intercollegiate Team with U.S. Figure Skating.
The team is made up of passionate athletes who have a deep love for skating, with backgrounds in freestyle, synchro, ice dance, theater on ice, pairs, and showcase. Our diverse team includes skaters from all around the world and represents a variety of academic disciplines at Northwestern.
Beyond the ice, we create a supportive and tight-knit community that thrives on teamwork, perseverance, and the love of the sport. Being part of the team means gaining lifelong friendships, valuable competition experience, and the opportunity to represent NU. We’re more than just a team — we’re a family, and we’re always excited to welcome new members who share our passion for skating.
