• About:
  Dr. Hedy Shun-Han Yang received her Ph.D. in Naval Architecture from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, in 2018. Her research focuses on the design and long-term integrity of offshore structures and marine renewable energy systems, including mooring and cable reliability, structural response analysis, floating system configuration, and concept development for wave, current, and offshore wind energy devices. She currently leads and co-leads several projects in Taiwan, with a particular focus on mooring and power cable systems under both operational and extreme environmental conditions. At NTU, Dr. Yang teaches courses such as Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Theory of Ships and Ocean Structures, and Introduction to Offshore Wind Power, and she contributes to the capstone course on wave energy systems. She enjoys working closely with students and is continually inspired by their creativity and fresh ideas in research.
