This summer, we visited Yulin and Chongde Elementary Schools to share the rich culture of the Czech Republic with local students!
From history and geography to traditional foods and festivals, the kids were curious and engaged throughout.
We also played fun interactive games together—there was so much laughter and joy! We hope this cultural exchange sparked their curiosity about the world.
Looking forward to more meaningful connections in the future!
On July 5, we had the pleasure of hosting our second cultural day trip of the summer! This time, we visited the Leshui Tribal Village in Yilan to dive into the rich traditions of Taiwan’s indigenous Atayal people.
What’s it like to live like the Atayal? Participants explored this firsthand through fun and educational hands-on activities—making bamboo tube rice, pounding mochi, competing in an archery contest, and learning about traditional Atayal ecological wisdom. The warm hospitality and delicious indigenous cuisine made the experience not only eye-opening, but also deeply memorable.
🤝 Hands Together
As part of the “Hands Together” initiative, students visited Xingnan and Dafeng Elementary Schools in New Taipei City. They assisted with English lessons and experienced local school life.
Students also shared their cultures—including Czech traditions, Norwegian life in Oslo, and American stories from Michigan and Texas—offering a rich, cross-cultural exchange that inspired curiosity, mutual respect, and new friendships.
Time flies, and the spring learning journey of the NTU UAAT Mandarin Program has come to a successful close.
The student not only improved their Chinese language skills at the International Chinese Language Program (ICLP) of the NTU Language Center, but also participated in our "Hands together" activity.
We believe that during this period, the student not only reached new milestones in their Chinese proficiency but also experienced Taiwan’s traditional culture and enjoyed their time studying in Taiwan.💖
