NTM may reimburse a minimum of 3AC fare by train for paper presenters from their nearest railway station to Mysuru. Production of all the relevant travel documents like tickets, boarding passes etc. is a must for processing the bills.
Moderate food and accommodation (on sharing basis) can be arranged on campus during the conference days.
Housed on CIIL campus, the National Translation Mission is about 4.5 kms from Mysuru Junction and about 6kms from Mysuru Rural Bus Stand (also known as Suburban Bus Stand). It is attached to the University of Mysore Campus (Academic Block). The nearest landmark is Basappa Memorial Hospital (popularly known as BMH and is just opposite to CIIL on the Hunsur Road). People from other states reach Mysuru mostly via Bengaluru, which is about 140 kms away, either by rail or road. By rail, express trains reach Mysuru in 3 hrs. By road, it will take about 3 to 4 hrs by non-stop services of state run buses. Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is well connected through road, rail and air. Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) is nearest airport to Mysuru (though Mysuru has an airport, only limited flight services are available from a few cities in India) and is about 170 kms and 4 hours by road. Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operates a special flybus service direct to Mysuru from BIA. Mysuru is also directly accessible by road from Goa, Kerala (Kozhikode, Ernakulam & Thiruvananthapuram), Maharashtra (Mumbai & Pune) and Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Kumbakonam & Madurai) through regular bus services.
