The LORD is my rock, my protection, my Savior. My God is my rock. I can run to him for safety. He is my shield and my saving strength, my defender.
Dr. Isaac Kofi Nti is an Assistant Professor at the School of Information Technology (SoIT), University of Cincinnati, USA. He brings over 16 years of experience in higher education, where he has taught and designed curriculum for courses spanning machine learning, data analytics, cybersecurity, AI, system analysis and design, research methods, and nursing informatics. Dr. Nti holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Ghana; an MSc in Information Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; a BSc in Computer Science from the Catholic University College of Ghana; and an HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Sunyani Technical University. With over 60 peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, his research spans health informatics, energy systems modeling, cybersecurity, data privacy, business analytics, and the development of intelligent and sustainable information systems. His recent work focuses on the real-world application of AI and machine learning in healthcare, education, finance, agriculture, and cybersecurity—bridging academic rigor with societal impact. As a thought leader and mentor, Dr. Nti is also actively involved in building open-source educational resources, securing research funding, and empowering students and faculty to embrace emerging technologies.
I believe that every student brings a unique perspective and set of experiences to the learning environment, and it is this diversity that enriches the educational process. My role as an educator is to cultivate a space where students feel empowered to express themselves, embrace their individuality, and appreciate the perspectives of others. I am committed to helping each student discover their potential by recognizing and adapting to their distinct learning styles and needs. To support this, I design learning experiences that are relevant, practical, and engaging—integrating hands-on activities, collaborative projects, real-world case studies, and blended learning strategies. My goal is to inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and equip students with both technical expertise and the confidence to apply it meaningfully in diverse contexts. Through a student-centered approach, I aim to nurture not just competence, but also character, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning.
I have more than fifteen (15) years of teaching experience in computer science courses such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, IT projects, software development, C# and Python programming, and cyber security in and outside Ghana. Additionally, I have supervised over twenty-five (25) undergraduate project work and graduate theses in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Several of the projects I oversaw resulted in excellent publications. Additionally, I have conducted various workshops and seminars for students, faculty, and the general public on web design and development, reference management using Mendeley, writing an effective systematic review, and data analytics with Python, R, and others. Finally, I have in-depth experience with learning management systems such as Canvas and Moodle.
