In the Auspicious Kartika month which marks the triumph of good over evil, The NSS unit of Deshbandhu College on this note feels honoured and delighted to unveil the PRADEEPAN 5.0 during the recent Diwali festive month which commemorates joy, harmony, and warmth of light which marks the return of Lord Rama from exile.

The NSS unit was delighted to invite you all to the *great Diwali Mela,* which was loaded with many fun games, activities, and excitement to make your college experience even better.
With a bit of a touch of enjoyment and happiness come to enjoy the Diwali Mela and make a memory for a lifetime.

The NSS unit of Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi celebrated the “Great Diwali Mela” at DBC campus on 18th October 2021 in collaboration with UBA and EBSB. It feels honoured and delighted to unveil the PRADEEPAN 5.0 “YAMPANCHAK” (Ye Deepawali Sikkim Wali) during the Diwali festive month which commemorates joy, harmony and warmth of light which marks the return of Lord Rama from exile.

The guest of honour –
• Professor Ashwani Mahajan- National Co-convenor of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, PGDAV College.
• Abhishek Kumar Singh – IAS, Actor, Entrepreneur.
• Shri Jangjilong – Regional Director of NSS Delhi.
They all together cut the ribbon and inaugurated Pradeepan 5.0, having a tour of the campus. They watched the performance of the students. They were amazed to see the kind of talent students has. Starting from the Student talent hunt, and Rangoli competition to the awesome stalls that the students set up. They were impressed by the student's effort and talent and hope they must have enjoyed it a lot. They left the college campus after praising the students and sharing words of wisdom with all.

In collaboration with UBA and EBSB, the NSS unit of Deshbandhu College successfully wrapped up the 5th edition of its flagship event, Annual Diwali Mela, Pradeepan 5.0.
The event had numerous attractions for the students. From the Talent hunt to Rangoli Competition, T-shirt designing competitive and Noor-e-Pradeepan, the fest catered to a huge list of participants from the entire Delhi University. The stalls which were set up becomes huge attractions for the students while showcasing the entrepreneurial value on this occasion of Diwali.
With scrumptious food, and a jubilant DJ evening, the event was marked and appreciated throughout and it proved how even after 2 long years of the pandemic, the unit still has the calibre.

Donation is believed to be one of the noblest tasks in the whole world. Donating to the causes you care about not only benefits the charities themselves, but it can also be deeply rewarding for you too.
On the occasion of our annual Diwali Mela, Pradeepan 5.0, NSS unit in collaboration with EBSB and UBA organised a Donation drive to share happiness with our little ones. So that they can also celebrate this Diwali full of joy and prosperity because they also deserve smiles in the festival of lights.
Through this post, we share some insights into the donation drive which was organized on 18th October.
