The Y.E.S. Program (Youth, Education, and Service) is the cornerstone of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.’s commitment to developing and supporting young people. Through Y.E.S., the Sorority provides mentorship, educational enrichment, leadership training, and service opportunities that prepare youth to excel academically and grow as responsible citizens.
Xinos
The Xinos are high school young ladies who participate in structured programs that emphasize personal growth, academic achievement, cultural enrichment, and leadership development. Members of Xinos are provided with mentorship from Sorority members, opportunities to engage in service projects, and experiences that prepare them for higher education and future careers. Through workshops, conferences, and community activities, Xinos learn the importance of self-confidence, scholarship, sisterhood, and service.
Kudos
The Kudos are high school young men who are guided to become leaders, scholars, and responsible citizens. The program focuses on building character, encouraging positive decision-making, and promoting academic success. Like the Xinos, Kudos members participate in service-learning projects, leadership training, and cultural enrichment activities that prepare them for life beyond high school. The Kudos program empowers young men to embrace their potential while giving back to their schools and communities.
Each year, the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. hosts an Annual Youth Conference as part of its commitment to the Y.E.S. Program. This national event brings together Xinos (young ladies) and Kudos (young men) from chapters across the country for a weekend of learning, leadership, and fellowship.
The conference provides students with opportunities to:
Participate in academic workshops that strengthen skills in reading, writing, math, and college readiness.
Engage in leadership seminars that promote teamwork, decision-making, and effective communication.
Take part in cultural enrichment activities that celebrate diversity and heritage.
Compete in scholastic contests and oratorical competitions, showcasing their talents and achievements.
Connect with peers from across the nation, building lifelong friendships and professional networks.
The Annual Youth Conference is more than an event — it is a life-changing experience that empowers students to dream big, set goals, and prepare for future success in higher education and beyond.
