Dear colleagues

It is a great pleasure for us to announce that the First International scientific and practical conference «Navigation and Ship handling: New approaches, Training and Simulations» (NSHTS-2024) will be held at the Odessa National Maritime University, in Odessa, Ukraine, from September 23 to 24, 2024. 

The conference will be held online on the Zoom platform.

The Organizing Committee invites you to participate in this event and share information on your scientific achievements with the community involved in navigation process research.

The purpose of the conference – development of intensification of scientific and research work at the university, involvement of a wide range of participants from Ukrainian and foreign educational and scientific institutions, as well as representatives of the maritime industry, for discussion of important issues.

The conference will focus on discussing new navigation methods and advanced technologies for ship handling, issues of modeling vessel control processes, priority areas for improving shipping safety, modern simulator technologies, innovations in the professional training of river and sea transport specialists, as well as issues of technical operation of the fleet. 

Students, scientists, scientific and pedagogical workers of educational institutions, research institutes of maritime transport, experts in the field of maritime and river transport, representatives of enterprises of the maritime complex, shipping companies and maritime agencies are invited to participate. 

Participation in the conference is free of charge.

Official languages of the conference: English, Ukrainian.

Based on the materials of the conference, a collection of theses of the reports will be published in PDF format. 

We hope that the conference will contribute to the further establishment of contacts and the unification of joint efforts for the development of water transport in the conditions of full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine.

We are confident that our meeting will have scientific value and will initiate fruitful discussions, and we look forward to meeting you.

Нам дуже приємно повідомити, що І Міжнародна науково-практична конференція «Навігація та керування судном: нові підходи, навчання та моделювання» (N&SH-2024) відбудеться на базі Одеського національного морського університету, м. Одеса, Україна з 23 по 24 вересня 2024 року. Конференція відбудеться в онлайн-режимі на платформі Zoom. 

Оргкомітет запрошує вас взяти участь у цьому заході, щоб поділитися інформацією про свої новаторські дослідження та наукові здобутки.

Мета конференції – розвиток активізації науково-дослідної роботи в університеті, залучення для обговорення важливих питань широкого кола учасників з українських та іноземних освітніх та наукових установ, а також представників морської галузі.

Конференція сфокусується на обговоренні нових методів навігації і передових технологій керування судном, питань моделювання процесів управління судном,  пріоритетних напрямів підвищення безпеки судноплавства, сучасних тренажерних технологій, інновацій у професійній підготовці фахівців річкового та морського транспорту, а також на питаннях технічної експлуатації флоту.

До участі запрошуються здобувачі освіти, науковці, науково-педагогічні працівники закладів освіти, науково-дослідних інститутів морського транспорту, фахівці у сфері морського та річкового транспорту, представники підприємств морегосподарського комплексу, судноплавних компаній і морських агенств. 

Участь у роботі конференції безкоштовна.

Робочі мови конференції: англійська, українська.

За матеріалами конференції буде видано збірник тез доповідей у форматі PDF.

Сподіваємось, що конференція сприятиме подальшому налагодженню контактів та об'єднанню спільних зусиль задля розвитку водного транспорту в умовах повномасштабної збройної агресії російської федерації  проти України.
