The Chain Lakes region in southwest Kings County is one of the last large, undeveloped forested Crown lands in the area. Home to old-growth trees, pristine wetlands, and numerous endangered species, it plays a vital role in local biodiversity and climate resilience. Despite its ecological importance, the area is under immediate threat from clearcutting and roadbuilding. We're calling for a moratorium on industrial activity and formal designation of Chain Lakes as a protected wilderness area.

Uranium mining poses serious threats to water, wildlife, and public health. We're demanding a return to the ban and immediate action to stop this dangerous industry before irreversible damage is done.
