Bond Bite

• Vegas' bond bite is located just off-center of Pete's neck, between the larynx and carotids. 

"There’s an entirely different rush of arousal at the thought carrying his bonded’s bite on his body, a visual mark of being possessed. Scent glands were traditional and Pete doesn’t need to carry Vegas’ mark under his clothes. He wants it visible where anyone can see. Tradition and possession. Pete is a full grown man in their world, he doesn’t need to pass for human the way Porsche or Chay do for their work.

“Here,” Pete says, pulling Vegas' head back and resettling him so that his teeth circle Pete’s throat instead of his scent gland. Pete would have to wear a high turtle neck if he ever needs to pass for human. The teeth would set in around his larynx and his carotids and show everyone how gentle Vegas is, to mark Pete in such a delicate place.

Pete wants it unmistakable and visible from every angle. He wants Vegas to see it no matter which way he looks at Pete. He needs Vegas to know that Pete trusts him with his life."
