PTA Board Members needed for the 2021-2022 school year!
Hi All!
NOW SEEKING INTEREST FOR PTA OFFICERS for the 2021-2022 School Year
The NRMS PTA nominating committee is now accepting nominations for the following Executive Officer positions for the PTA Executive Committee: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Members at Large. We welcome all nominations and will strive to create a diverse and balanced roster of applicants that accurately represent our school's demographic. Our goal is to see that every parent has a voice on our PTA and is given the chance to become actively involved in enriching the educational opportunities at our school. You may nominate as many candidates as you choose, whether it be yourself or a parent you know would be a great addition to our PTA board!
Please submit your nominations via email at neuseriverpta@gmail.com. Be sure to include the nominee's name and contact information (email and phone number), position they are being nominated for, and any special qualities you think make them a perfect candidate for that position.
Nominations must be received no later than April 30, 2021.
Job Descriptions:
President: Serve as leader and key contact for the PTA; preside at all PTA meetings; ex-officio member of committees; appoint chairpersons for committees; coordinate the work of the officers and committees so that the PTA's objectives can be met. (Effort: Year-round, on-going)
Vice President: Act as an aide to the President; perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve; assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board; coordinate the general activities of any Special Committees created by the Executive Board. Ideally - is willing to serve as President in the future. (Effort: year-round, time varies depending upon roles)
Secretary: Keep the minutes of all general meetings and all meetings of the Executive Board; prepare correspondence and perform all other duties assigned; maintain master documents; keep the calendar of events for the PTA. (Effort: 3-4 hours per month, includes attending meeting and typing up minutes)
Treasurer: Be responsible for and have custody of all funds; make disbursements as properly authorized; be present at all PTA events where money will be collected; assure that PTA policies and best practices are followed with regards to funds; prepare financial reports for each meeting and as needed; prepare the books for an annual audit. (Effort: 4-5 hours per month, average)
Member-at-Large: Voting member on Executive Board; perform other duties as assigned. (Effort: 2-3 hours per month)

Fundraiser Over! BIG Winners!
Fundraiser Over! BIG Winners!
Hi Everyone!
Thanks for the great support of our fundraiser, we have met our goal! You have helped bring great things to our teachers, students and school!
We had decided to do a raffle for selling 10 or more items and here are the BIG winners:
Winner of the $50 Amazon GC is Tyler D. (6th grade)
Winner of the $100 Amazon GC is DeAngel J. (6th grade)

We are still counting money and placing orders but we definitely met our goal and orders will be delivered to the school on 3/30/21. If you ordered anything that needs picked up, you can do so at the end of the school day on 3/30/21.

Hi Everyone!
We kicked off our fundraiser last week and we have our McDonalds Gift Card Winners!

This week we have a $25 Amazon Gift Card up for Grabs!!! Sell 10 items in the first 2 weeks and get put in the drawing!
As orders come in, Hogz go out! Remind students to be kind to others, themselves, and their school. Remind everyone why funds are needed and encourage students to Go Hog Wild, keep selling, keep helping, and keep earning more HedgeHogz!

We know COVID really delayed our spiritwear but it's here! The front office has your items so please feel free to pick up. If you child is in the building it will be sent home.

Online Fundraiser WITH Prizes!
Hi PTA Members!
We are starting a fundraiser to raise money to support our great school on Monday, February 22nd! We HIGHLY recommend creating your child their own link and doing the fundraiser all online. While we will accept paper orders with checks or cash, it will be MUCH easier for everyone to order, get their items and pay online. If your child is attending school in the building, they will get a packet while in school. If you child is not in the building or is virtual, everything is online. We will have extra packets at the school if you wish to pick one up. Please see the information below and let us know if you have ANY questions!
The prizes are going to be Gift Cards!!
For the first week, if you sell 3 items or more, your name will be placed in a drawing for $5.00 McDonalds Gift Cards. We will be pulling a name once a day EACH day next week!
If you sell 10 items during the first 2 weeks of the fundraiser, we will be placing your name in a drawing for a $50 Amazon Gift Card after the second week and finally, if you sell 12 items or more during the entire fundraiser, we will be putting your name in a drawing for a $100 Amazon Gift Card at the end of the third week! Our fundraiser END of March 10th.

Hello Families!
Hello Families!
We are so excited to kick off this school year! What is the PTA? The PTA is an organization made up of parents, teacher and friends of Neuse River Middle School. We are all here to support our teacher, staff and students. Every year you need to rejoin the PTA, so please join today! We cannot do this without you!
We know this year is going to look a little different but we are still here to support the school. Normally, the PTA runs family nights, community events, book fair, spirit wear sales, teacher appreciation events, programs and more!
Please note that we are all volunteers, so ANY help you can give is appreciated! We still have open positions on the board too. We need a Vice-President and a Member-at-Large to help us out for 2020-2021. Please email us at: neuseriverpta@gmail.com if you are interested!
