NREA Foundation

The NREA Foundation exists to provide opportunities for those who love rural education to support valuable recognitions while developing strong relationships with likeminded people and gathering resources needed to move the work forward.

A brief history

Originally established in 1989, the NREA Foundation has been a constant presence alongside the National Rural Education Association. As NREA has grown, so has the importance of the work of the Foundation.

The Trustees of the NREA Foundation work throughout the year. The principal focus of the Foundation is providing the structure behind the important recognitions of excellence which are an important part of what NREA provides to rural schools.
