No Re-Choir-Ment A Cappella is a student organization at Iowa State University focused on providing ALL students interested in a cappella with a collegiate a cappella experience without an additional choral requirement.
Founded in Spring of 2019 by Dani Jarosz, the organization started as a simple Facebook group chat and later became established at the university. The organization began regularly meeting and functioning in the fall semester of 2019 and has been evolving and growing ever since.
No Re-Choir-Ment meets twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 6:30 PM and ending at 8:30 PM.
NRCM is host to three ensembles, Vox Co., Decibelles, and One Note Stand, so as to provide all students who are interested in participating with the opportunity to sing and cultivate lasting and meaningful relationships.
Soya is a fourth semester member of NRCM and is an ensemble leader in One Note Stand. They are currently studying Psychology and Computer Science with a minor in Illustration. Soya is from Dubuque, Iowa and enjoys reading and art.
Valerie is a second semester member of NRCM. She is currently studying Spanish and Secondary Education. Valerie is from Sheldon, Iowa and enjoys reading and trying new coffee shops!
Hayden is a fifth semester member of NRCM and is a member of One Note Stand.
Abby is a fourth semester member of NRCM and is in Decibelles. Abby is an Architecture major. She joined NRCM because she was missing the choir life she left behind in high school and was not interested in joining the Iowa State choir.
Toby is a fourth semester member of NRCM. They are currently studying Community & Regional Planning and Environmental Studies. Toby is from Council Bluffs, Iowa and enjoys drawing, reading, and playing video games.
Anna is a third semester member of NRCM and is a member of Vox Co. She is currently a Graduate Student studying Inorganic Chemistry. Anna is from Bennington, Nebraska.
