This Stage 2 learning unit focuses on how and why we care for national parks in NSW.

It includes a mix of learning content, summative and formative activities, guidance notes and editable activity worksheets. The unit has been designed for teachers to customise the resources to their needs. This means it can be taught in entirety from start to finish, or 'pick and mix' style with specific lessons and activities selected.

We recommend viewing the WCANP Stage 2 teacher guide first to check the appropriateness of these resources. We then also recommend looking at the pages of the student site as a second step.

The teacher guide includes:

  • description of teaching unit and lesson summaries

  • NSW syllabus outcomes by learning area

  • preparation instructions for delivery.
