Senator Hinchey, the youngest woman to represent an Upstate Senate District, has reached out to the New Paltz College Democrats for an enriching and exciting internship opportunity for our members!
"This internship will provide interns with real campaign experience including exposure to direct voter contact and what a robust field operation looks like, data analysis, input, and research, fundraising, and campaign communications strategy. The internship will run throughout the summer, with the option to continue through the fall until Election Day (Tuesday, November 8th). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and interns will be onboarded throughout the campaign season. Hours are flexible to accommodate other work or extracurricular responsibilities, but all interns are expected to work at minimum 12 hours per week and will primarily be doing direct voter outreach in a campaign office and in the field, as outlined above. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the flexibility of our internship, this internship is offered remotely, in-person in Kingston, or hybrid."

"Our internship is a hands-on grassroots program for students to not only get involved in every aspect of a political campaign but also to have informational and networking opportunities. [This is great] for students who are looking for a summer internship and are interested in the fields of political science, public policy, and grassroots organizing! The internship begins on a rolling basis, and students do not need prior campaign experience to join. We are looking for students of all years, as well as recent graduates."
