I research the interplay between homogeneous dynamics, diophantine approximations, and geometry of numbers, mostly over fields with positive characteristic. This setting leads to the use of various tools, such as combinatorics, automatic sequences, fractal geometry, algebraic groups, ergodic theory, and metric number theory.

The pictures in the banners are from the St. Peter wilderness, the Mur River, the Mill B Trail, Red Pine Lake, and Jack's Mountain. The picture in the footer is a tiling which generates the number wall of the 5-Cantor sequence generated by Steven Robertson, which we construct explicitly to prove escape of mass properties of the p-Cantor sequence.
