Competition Rules & Regulations
Set Dance Rules
All dancers must perform the published step sheet for the nominated dance.
No contrasting directions, position changes or altered formations are permitted.
Arm, hat and skirt styling is permitted in all sections from the start of the dance, provided it complements the footwork.
Dance intros can contain contrasting movements and changing formations.
Judges' decisions are final.
Age Divisions
Dancers must compete in the correct age division.
A competitor's age is determined as of competition day.
All dancers in Duos, Trios and Teams events must be within the age category.
Novice Division
A Novice competitor is:
A dancer who is new to line dancing competitions; or
A dancer who has not competed in a line dancing competition for 15 years or more.
Own Choice Sections
Competitors may choose a published line dance or use their own choreography.

Costume Rules
Costumes should be appropriate, family-friendly and suit the style of the dance.
Sportsmanship
Competitors are expected to display respect towards judges, officials and fellow dancers at all times.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in penalties or disqualification.
