[Description of onboarding here and other relevant text]
Onboarding for job-specific skills is challenging enough without also having to worry about training for basic skills like oral communication, numeracy, and problem-solving. If your business struggles to find candidates with the appropriate essential or "soft" skills, consider reaching out to the Adult Basic Education Association to learn more about developing these skills in your employees.
“As the adult learning network, we are the first point of contact for anyone interested in upgrading their skills. We offer educational pathway planning services including information, exploration, referrals, assessments and group presentations. We are happy to work with employers to support their employees to find the right programs for their goals. We refer to skills upgrading, high school credits (and equivalent), apprenticeship, post-secondary and specialized training courses such as digital technology and work-specific training.” - Sara Gill
