Novum Monasterium literally means the 'New Monastery'. When joining Novum Monasterium you truly become Christ's soldier in a world of growing disbelieve andindifference . It is our mission to defend God's work and rebuild his temple. These times require a renewed approach.

Novum Monasterium is an initiative that wants to revive the spirit of monastic life in the context of the challenges of today. We intend to establish a new congregation. This requires the approval of the Vatican. You can help us by supporting our Petition to the Pope.

A NEW ZEAL

The days of today are the days of the great confusion, deception and suppression. For many the path to God has become blurred. Even more got lost and don't know God any longer. And despite all the information and resources available to us on the internet, the ignorance and disbelieve keep growing. At the same time all sorts of pagan believes and occult practices are gaining terrain. Intollerance and indifference to the suffering of others are rampant in today's society. In many parts of the world Christians are still persecuted while we remain silent. It is a road to disaster. For sure these are very different times that require a totally different response. It is time to make a stand and become a soldier of Christ.

Novum Monasterium wants to revive the spirit of monastic life that througout the ages has preserved Christian identity and a passion for Jesus. We want to rebuild God's temple against the tides of these days and continue carrying the torch that brings the light of the Holy Spirit. We are ready to go the darkest places where God will bring us. We will be opposed and suppressed. But with the help of the Holy Spirit we will prevail and we shall fear nothing and no one.

Are you ready to join the battle ? We will be swimming against the tides for sure. Not a very promissing prospect. But someone has to do it ! We are willing to make that sacrifice. Don't be afraid because God is at your side. But let's be frank: Novum Monasterium is not for the faint-hearted. Novum Monasterium doesn't provide the comforts of a safe place behind the walls of a convent. Our work is in the world whereever God brings us and no matter what obstacles we might encounter. We will not walk away when things get tough. If you don't feel up to that, your voice and moral support still is of tremendous value. Please support us by signing the Petition to the Pope so we can carry on the work in the service of Christ.

UNIVERSAL CHURCH

Novum Monasterium embraces the concept of the Universal Church. We don't distinguish between Catholics and non-Catholics or Christians and non-Christians. All are God’s children. We are all part of God’s creation. That connects each and every one of us. We are all one in Christ. Even including the ones that don’t believe in Him or follow a different religion. The moral compass directs us all in the same direction of wanting to feel God's closeness. It is the compass that makes you distinguish between good and evil. You may call it your conscience. If you listen to your conscience closely you will hear God's voice calling you back. That is why we must love everyone… Christians, Muslims, non-believers, et cetera. We believe that that is more that binds us all than is keeping us apart.

It is our mission to continue carrying the torch in a world of growing disbelieve and resistance against God. To rebuild God’s temple is to reconcile the people with Him. Souls must be healed. People must be shown back the way. We intend to unify in a shared passion for the one God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Sometimes the mere argument or a prayer will do the job. But more and more people are getting under the devil’s influence to do his bidding. That’s a total different chapter. God will prevail eventually, but today the world is darkening and difficult times are laying ahead. It requires courage to stand up and fight for God... and that also means a readiness to fight for your brother and carry his burden if that will return him to God. After all, to love your brother is to love God.

God will always make sure some are willing to do his work. Are you one of them ? Are you ready to walk the narrow path that leaves you with no comfort but one... and that is that Christ is walking with you. Isn't that the greatest treasure of all treasures ? Not such a difficult choice after all, is it ? All you need to do is to make the choice.

PETITION TO THE POPE

Different times. A new course. A new voice... all in the service of Christ. We want to make a stand ! We must. But we first want to form a group of men and women who are willing to live a consecrated life in full dedication and submission to the Lord. We also need approval from the Vatican to establish a new congregation. That means the order will be subject to Canon Law. But that is a good thing since it brings stability and reliability., and allows us to focus on our work ahead. And we also intend to have close relation with other congregations.

You can help us by supporting our petition to the Pope. Maybe you want to join, or maybe you simply want to support the initiave. Let your voice be heard. And let us be your voice. When we have collected sufficient support we will first ask the Bishop for his blessing and approval to continue. After that will go to Rome and officially ask for the Pope's recognition of the new order... the first one in a long, very long time.
