A gesture of kindness restoring Prince's hope

A Gesture of Kindness: Restoring Prince’s Hope

Prince, who lost both parents and has limited vision in one eye, was struggling with an almost empty store and the need for a new wheelchair. In response, the SHSG ground team of eight dedicated over five hours to clean his grocery store, and went above and beyond by purchasing a tricycle and essential groceries, which were delivered directly to him. Watching Prince’s emotional reaction—his tears of joy and heartfelt gratitude—was incredibly moving [March 2025].

The healing power of social media share

The Healing Power of a Share

A man lay helpless on the road, his right leg severely wounded, with no one around to help. But hope arrived when a nearby autorickshaw driver rushed him to the SHSG care center, where he received much-needed free treatment. The power of awareness, sparked by sharing SHSG videos, made this possible. Please don’t underestimate the impact of a simple click and share—it can save a life [March 2025].

Monetary support to marginalized farmers, Punjab

Emergency Aid to Farmers After Fire Losses

Farm fires in Punjab, India have devastated small and marginalized farmers—many of whom rent just an acre of land to grow wheat or vegetables. After visiting the affected areas, the SHSG ground team provided emergency support of INR 5,500 to INR 15,000 to more than 10 farming families. This help brought relief—but the need is much greater. According to India’s National Crime Records Bureau, over 11,000 farmers and agricultural laborers died by suicide in 2022. Many were overwhelmed by crop loss, debt, and lack of support. With your help, SHSG can continue this urgent work [April 2025].

Hope Rebuilt

After losing the family’s sole breadwinner - husband and father - to a devastating neurological injury in a tragic road accident in December 2024, left behind were a grieving widow, her elderly mother-in-law, and two children—a daughter in 11th grade and a son in 6th. This family faced not only emotional devastation but complete financial ruin. With the support of SAF International, SHSG transformed their barren plot into a two-bedroom home, restoring stability and hope [May 2025].
