The Dahlia Society of Nova Scotia meets:

7:00 pm, second Tuesday of the month (except July, August, December, January and February when we may have online meetings)

Upcoming Events for 2025

The regular meeting in November would have been on Remembrance Day so the meeting has been moved to Thursday, November 13th at 7 pm.

What the Dahlia Society of Nova Scotia does:

We meet regularly, with informative programs, to share information about the wonderful world of dahlias.
We hold an annual tuber sale where thousands of tubers are sold to the public by our members at very reasonable prices, to encourage others to grow these beautiful flowers.
We publish a regular newsletter in which we share information about our upcoming events and dahlia tips.
We love to show off our beautiful dahlias! We participate in dahlia shows and take blooms to other gardening events, place arrangements at church and community social events.
And, our gardens provide a showpiece of dahlias for people passing by to enjoy!

The American Dahlia Society has awarded Bronze Medals to precipitants from our club!

The medals were given to society members who promoted the growing and showing of dahlias through their support of Nova Scotia Dahlia Society activities such as shows, displays, tuber auction, tuber sale, dahlia days set-up and take-down, and bringing dahlia blooms to meeting programs. Congratulations!
