OR /24 -- PRIFIX LENGTH / CIDR

255.0.0.0 --DECIMAL

OR /8 -- PRIFIX LENGTH / CIDR

-BECAUSE between my laptop and google network we have one router , whenever you connect your laptop with your mobile phone hotpots you know guy's your hotpots is a combo device means your hotpots work as a multiple feature , your hotpots works like a wireless access point , switch , hub , router.

we have tell are operating system like A , the A IP 100 would be your Router , If you want to go any other network then you have to go this Router.

The real meaning or right version of IPV4 is all the IP or all the number that are in the range of 4 bytes are the valid IP.

The way A can communicate to B they require some kind of medium like - light wave , radio wave , wire etc . whatever they medium is use that medium is known as NETWORK.

BUT THE way to communicate is called NETWORKING.

IF A want to communicate to B we have some prerequisite , we need somethings and without having this list it is impossible to connect A to the B.

NIC (Network card)

Both the network have some IP address IPV4 (4 BYTES)

IP of laptop A and IP of laptop B are in the same network or not

Between A and B require physical connectivity

ROUTER is again just like your operating system , ROUTER also have operating system , RAM , CPU , HARD-DISK they also have a network card . we can convert are operating system also as a Router.

BY looking of the my network name and google network name is different even though i am able to ping HOW ?

0.0.0.0 -- This is a special IP that means any IP on the world

ANY operating system that has a internet network card , also they have a Routing table , even though your mobile phone also have a routing table.

To remove the network information command they use - route del -net 0.0.0.0

To verify remove or not command for this - route -n

To add the rule for this commend - route add -net 0.0.0.0 gw 10.0.2.2 (your hotpots IP)

HOW TO CONFIGURE YOUR OWN IP OR NETMASK ?

COMMAND IS - ifconfig enp0s3 1.2.3.4 netmask 255.255.0.0

DHCP SERVER (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) - The duty of DHCP server is to give you the IP address , netmask and getway . again your hotspots like a DHCP SERVER.
