Welcome to NoteBloom! This Privacy Policy explains what information the NoteBloom mobile application ("the App") collects, why, who can see it, and how you stay in control. NoteBloom is published by Ilyes Zeroual. If you have any questions, contact us at notebloomcontact@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
* Account: your Sign in with Apple identifier, your email address (Apple can hide it), and the first name and color you choose.
* What you create together: notes, lists, budgets, savings pots, gift ideas, little notes, drawings, scratch cards, journal entries and memories, including the photos you add to them. Notes never contain photos.
* Location: only if you turn on "Share my location". It is used to calculate the distance between you and your partner. Your partner only sees that distance, never your exact location, and your location is deleted as soon as you stop sharing.
* Notifications: your device's notification token, language and time zone, so we can notify you in your language and at the right time.
* Subscription: whether your NoteBloom Pro subscription is active and until when.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to make the App work: syncing your notes between your two phones, showing your widgets, and sending the notifications you turned on.
* No advertising.
* No selling of your data.
* No tracking across apps or websites.
* Your content is never used to train AI models.
3. Dictation, Scanning and AI Features
* Dictation: when you tap the microphone, your voice is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition. Only the text is kept.
* Scanning: text in a photo or image is read directly on your iPhone. The image is not uploaded or stored.
* AI tools (NoteBloom Pro): only when you use them, and after asking for your permission, the text you submit is sent to OpenAI to generate the answer. OpenAI does not use it to train its models and may keep it for up to 30 days to prevent abuse. We only count how many times a day you use the AI tools.
4. Who Can See Your Information
* Your partner: what you create in your shared space. Gifts you mark as bought from your partner's ideas stay hidden from them.
* Our service providers, only to run the App:
- Supabase – database and photo storage (servers in Paris, France).
- Expo – sending notifications.
- OpenAI – AI features.
- RevenueCat – subscription management.
- Apple – Sign in with Apple, payments, speech recognition and notifications.
Some of these providers are located in the United States. These transfers are protected by the safeguards required by law.
5. Data Retention
* We keep your data as long as your account exists.
* Items you delete go to the trash and are permanently erased after 30 days.
* Photos that are no longer used are deleted automatically.
* When you delete your account (in the App: Us two › My account › Delete my account), your data is erased immediately and your Sign in with Apple access is revoked. Content you shared stays available to your partner.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You can access, correct, export (in the App: Us two › Privacy › Export my data) or delete your data at any time. You can turn off location, microphone and notifications at any time in your iPhone settings. For any request, contact us at notebloomcontact@gmail.com. If you believe your data is not handled properly, you can also contact the data protection authority in your country.
7. Data Security
All communication is encrypted (HTTPS). Each couple can only access its own data, and this is enforced by our servers. Photos are stored in a private space: in the App, only you and your partner can see them. We only access your data when necessary: to fix a technical problem, keep the service secure, or comply with a legal obligation.
8. Children's Privacy
NoteBloom is intended for people aged 15 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from younger children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is important, we will let you know in the App. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
