These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NoteTap (the "App"), provided by Flowbit Labs ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. App Description
NoteTap is a piano ear training and absolute pitch test app. The App plays a note, and users try to identify the presented note by selecting the matching piano key.
The App is designed for music practice, listening training, and personal skill improvement. Results, scores, history, settings, or practice progress may be shown to help users review their performance.
2. Eligibility
You may use the App only if you are legally allowed to do so in your country or region. If you are under the age required to accept these Terms, you must use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. No Account Requirement
The App is generally designed to work without requiring account sign-in. Unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise, you do not need to create an account with Flowbit Labs to use the App.
4. Local Data and App Use
The App may store app settings, selected note ranges, practice history, recent answers, scores, preferences, or similar app-related data locally on your device.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for managing any local app data. If you delete the App, clear app data, or change devices, locally stored information may be lost.
5. Audio Playback
The App uses audio playback to present notes, scales, tones, or other sound-based training content.
The App is not intended to replace formal music education, professional instruction, or expert assessment. Training results are for personal practice and reference only.
6. Purchases and Paid Features
The App may offer optional paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases through Google Play Billing.
Purchases are processed by Google Play, and your payment information is handled by Google according to Google Play’s own terms and policies. We do not directly process or store your payment card information.
Refunds, cancellations, and subscription management are generally handled through Google Play according to Google Play policies.
7. Advertisements
The App may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or similar advertising networks.
Advertising networks may use device identifiers or similar technologies to show, limit, measure, or improve advertisements, subject to their own policies and your device settings.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for features such as advertisements, analytics, crash reporting, app performance monitoring, and billing.
These third-party services may collect and process certain data according to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services that we do not control.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law;
- Interfere with the operation, security, or performance of the App;
- Use the App in a way that may damage Flowbit Labs, other users, or third-party services;
- Circumvent paid features, subscription checks, advertisements, or usage restrictions.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, user interface, graphics, sounds, text, logos, software, and other content, is owned by Flowbit Labs or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
11. App Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
We may also change available features, supported devices, pricing, advertisements, or purchase options as needed.
12. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or suitable for every user’s musical goals.
Pitch recognition and practice results may vary depending on device speakers, headphones, volume, environment, user hearing ability, and other factors.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flowbit Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of progress, device issues, purchase issues handled by third-party platforms, or inability to use the App.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App or certain features if you violate these Terms or use the App in a harmful, unlawful, or abusive way.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update the Terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
