PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Flowbit Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use NoteTap (the "App").
NoteTap is a piano ear training and absolute pitch test app. The App plays a note, and users try to identify the presented note by selecting the matching piano key.
1. Information We Collect
The App is generally designed to work without requiring account sign-in, and we do not require you to create an account with Flowbit Labs to use the App.
Depending on the features you use, the App may store or process the following information:
- App settings and preferences;
- Selected note range and practice options;
- Recent answers, practice history, scores, or progress;
- Purchase or subscription status provided through Google Play Billing;
- Device and app performance information through analytics or crash reporting tools;
- Advertising identifiers or similar information through advertising networks, if ads are shown.
2. Information Stored Locally
The App may store settings, practice history, scores, progress, and similar app-related information locally on your device.
We do not operate a separate developer server for uploading or storing your personal practice data by default.
If you delete the App, clear app data, or change devices, locally stored information may be deleted or may no longer be available.
3. Audio Playback and Microphone
The App uses audio playback to present notes, tones, scales, or other sound-based practice content.
The App does not require microphone access for its core note-listening and answer-selection features. The App is designed for listening to generated or played-back sounds, not for recording your voice or instrument.
If a future feature requires microphone access, the App will request permission through your device system before using the microphone.
4. Purchases and Billing
The App may offer optional paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases through Google Play Billing.
Google Play processes purchases and payment information. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.
We may receive limited purchase-related information from Google Play, such as purchase status, subscription status, product ID, transaction status, and related data needed to unlock paid features or manage purchases.
5. Advertisements
The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob or similar advertising networks.
Advertising networks may collect or use information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, app interaction data, and ad performance data to deliver, limit, measure, and improve ads.
You may be able to manage personalized advertising through your device settings or Google settings.
6. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App may use analytics or crash reporting services to understand app performance, improve features, fix bugs, and diagnose errors.
These services may collect information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, usage events, and similar technical information.
7. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Google Play Services;
