The Norton School PTA offers a variety of fundraisers during the school year. We hope parents and staff will find one of interest to them. Past fundraising efforts have included: gift wrap sales, Spiritwear, candles, holiday pies and cookie dough, fruit and other food sales, and Square One Art. The profits from these fund raising efforts fund the PTA operational budget, sponsor cultural enrichment programs, support field trips, and purchase those extra “wish list” items for the Norton School community. Some of the items donated by the PTA in the past have included playground equipment, Smart Boards, computer software, classroom fans, artwork prints, planters, granite benches, and a piano.
Other PTA activities during the year also raise funds for the PTA, including our annual Book Fair, Ice Cream Social, Family Fun Nights, and Plant Sale, although their primary focus is social and/or service to the Norton School Community.
The Norton PTA is considered an educational nonprofit [section 501(c)(3)] organization by the IRS. In lieu of participating in one of our PTA fundraisers, parents may instead choose to make a tax-deductible donation to our PTA. Norton families whose employers sponsor “donation matching fund” programs may also designate the Norton PTA to receive these fund donations. 100% of these donations go directly to the Norton PTA and are greatly appreciated. The Norton PTA is kicking things off with our Norton Gear Sale! We're giving our Nighthawk families a chance to stock up on some new Norton Gear for the school year ahead while supporting our school. The gear sale will run through 9/13, with gear distributed in October.
