At North Star Pomskies we believe that every animal should be loved and feel like part of the family. That is why we not only have dogs of our own, but we also have dogs in Guardian Homes. A Guardian Home is a family that provides a house and care for our breeding dogs in a loving environment. The Guardian Home dog will be part of the family forever, but the dogs ownership and breeding rights belong to the breeder. We have placed a handful of our breeding dogs into homes with our Friends/Family and we know that they are truly loved. We absolutely love our dogs and we want to share that joy, love and happiness with others.

Once our dog has completed their breeding career, they will be neutered or spayed and they will live out the rest of their life with the Guardian Family. This ensures that our dogs have the best life possible and also allows us to remain a part of their life. Not only is this beneficial to our breeding program but it is also important to the mental and emotional health of the animals.

We choose to do Guardian Homes because we love our animals and although we wish to expand our breeding program, we also want to ensure that all of our animals are happy and cared for. Our animals are part of the family and they will remain with us for their whole life. We do not have the space to house all of our animals, we also do not have the capability of caring for a large group of dogs. We believe that a guardian home is the best way to ensure that our program stays healthy and that our dogs are happy and loved. We cannot express how much our dogs mean to us.
