I care deeply about the long term health of landscapes, watersheds, and ecosystems in the West.
Living and studying in Utah has made water scarcity, wildfire risk, and land use change feel real and immediate, not abstract.
Environmentalism, to me, is not just advocacy. It is systems thinking. It is understanding how climate, infrastructure, policy, and human behavior interact spatially.
I am especially drawn to:
Watershed protection and flood resilience
Sustainable land use planning
Data driven environmental decision making
GIS gives me a way to engage with environmental problems in a practical way. It allows me to move from concern to insight.
Spending time outside shapes how I think and what I value!
I enjoy:
Skiing and touring in the Wasatch
Camping and dispersed trips in southern Utah
Exploring mountain towns and western landscapes
Long drives through low and high desert terrain
Being outside keeps my work grounded. What I love about GIS is that,
I can picture the terrain, and the communities involved.
I am motivated by growth. I read widely, experiment with tools, and pursue projects that push me technically.
I am especially interested in the intersection of:
Hydroinformatics
Spatial modeling
Environmental resilience
Infrastructure systems
At the core, my passions connect. I care about landscapes.
I enjoy being in them. And I want to build tools that help protect and manage them responsibly.
