MESSAGE FROM NHNPA PRESIDENT
MS. VANESSA BETTS
Greetings engaged neighbors. We have officially entered into Spring. The trees, flowers, and shrubs, are budding and hope of new beginnings have emerged. For those who were not aware, March 20th was the birthday of Mr Rogers. Mr Rogers was the TV personality that mainly and a preschooler but also a person whose warm opening jingle was, " won't you be my neighbor, offering positive approaches to share with neighbors of all ages. As we remember him let us try to be an engaged neighbor by sharing our most valuable gift which is our time. Over to take out or pull up someone trash can, a billion still to take or pick up something at the store for a neighbor who's unable to drive, introduce yourself to a neighbor that has just moved into your neighborhood, and above all be ready to share a kind word and smile. We know where we've been but we don't know where we are going. No one is an island so share the wealth of kindness. The NHNPA will not have a display in the parade this year however we will be contributing our time and candy if you wish to contribute candy please contact, Rosie Gibson at or Vanessa Betts, 575 693-3584 or you may drop it off at our monthly meeting held on March 26th anytime between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. The Northeast Democratic Party, president Josie Avila and NHNPA member will have a float in the parade along with member, Sammie Hubbard with Henry O.
