Mr. Tubío teaches Spanish Honors and AP Spanish at Northgate High. Born in the south of Spain, he graduated in Law from The University of Granada. After graduating, he received a Masters Degree in Urbanism and Accounting from The University of Malaga and a Masters Degree in Risk at Work Prevention. He earned his K-12 Teaching credential as well as his Administrative credential at CSU East Bay. Mr. Tubío is a Google Certified Educator for Levels 1 and 2.
Julieta Zuluaga is a Distinguished Spanish III and ELD teacher at Northgate High School. She is originally from Colombia-South America- where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Spanish from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. She completed her Masters degree -Summa Cum Laude- in Applied Linguistics from the Universidad Distrital in Bogota. Julieta was awarded a fellowship in the United States where upon completion she moved with her family to California. Ms. Zuluaga has been teaching for 21 years and holds a triple credential in English, Spanish and ELD. She also earned her Administrative credential at CSU East Bay.
A native Californian, Ms. Casillas began her Spanish studies at CSU Fresno and completed her BSE in Spanish in 2011 at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. She has lived in Mexico with her family for three years this will be her third year teaching Spanish 2 and 3 here at Northgate.
Ms. Casillas teaches in room 80
