The Traveling Object

One of our repsonsibilities as E-Board was to design and coordinate a "traveling object" that united all of the projects. Because our theme was "Keys to Success", we decided to create keychains, in the shape of keys, for each of the eight groups.

While mass 3D printing the keys, with imprinted designs, was initially considered, due to the quantity that we had to construct (60 per group), it was decided to laser cut the keys with an engraved design of each of their heads, representing each group.

The AutoCAD file on the left depicts the layout of keys on a 12"x24" piece of 0.25" plywood and fits a total of 60 keys. This shows the keys that our group (engineering) handed out at the Chilrdren's Museum.

Each group sent in a conceptual design for their keys and we transformed them into the designs seen below.
