Our Story
The North Dunedin Community Patrol was formed in 2005 by a group of dedicated locals. By 2006, the patrol became fully operational, beginning regular patrols and establishing a strong partnership with the New Zealand Police.
Since those early days, our role has remained the same - To act as extra eyes and ears for Police, helping to deter crime and report suspicious activity across the Dunedin area. Our presence on the streets provides reassurance to the community whilst supporting frontline policing efforts.
Over the years, we've grown into a committed team of trained volunteers from all walks of life, united by a shared goal: to keep Dunedin safe, connected and supported.
Our Vision
To empower communities for a secure tomorrow, our vision is a New Zealand where everyone feels safe.
