Shaylin Allison - Shaylin is a fourth-year humanities and art history student. You can find her walking her dog, making matcha lattes, and buying way too many books.


Thora Asudeh - Thora is a first-year hums student. She enjoys spending time with friends, skimming books, and doodling.


Sadie Badour - Sadie is in her second year of humanities, minoring in history as well as art history because decisions are hard! When she is not selling coats, Sadie loves to draw and play with different watercolour techniques. Recently, she has also started to dabble in poetry.


Olivia Barrett - Olivia is a first-year journalism and humanities student. She enjoys poetry, street photography, and saving cooking videos on tiktok.


Nehaa Bimal - Nehaa Bimal is a journalism and humanities student who dabbles in intricate art, but her two life passions are writing and singing, which she does 24/7!


Laura Blanchette - Laura Blanchette is a second-year journalism and humanities student who hails from Edmonton, AB; the home of cowboys and oil tycoons. Fortunately, Laura is neither a cowboy nor an oil tycoon. Instead, she works at a small cafe in Ottawa and spends her free time making art.


Zoë Brewerton - Zoë Brewerton is a second-year humanities student with a minor in Greek and Roman studies. In her free time, she writes poetry that experiments with imagery and phrasing.


Georgia Callahan - Georgia Callahan is a first-year in the BHUMS program. She started doing nail in October 2020 as a way to force herself to stop biting them; she also really enjoys doing embroidery, cross-stitch, and collecting insect taxidermy!


Rhea Chopra - Rhea Chopra is a fourth-year humanities and philosophy student whose poetry is almost always about plants.


Claire French - Claire French is a fourth year Humanities and Philosophy student fascinated by the sublime and passionate about photography.


Kathleen Gant - Kat is a fourth-year hums student who enjoys movies and music, and making art of those things. Her preferred medium is digital painting.

Rob Martin - Hi, I’m Rob Martin! I’m a retired soldier currently living in the beautiful Tay Valley, west of Perth, Ontario. I joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the tender age of 17 on the toe of my mother’s shoe. I was a restless, undisciplined, unmotivated, lazy, yet somewhat athletic teen-child without any rational thought about my future as an adult. 34+ years later, I left the Canadian Army after one heck of a fantastic career as a soldier. I am an avid amateur fly-fisherman helping my fellow soldiers/veterans heal from their injuries through the meditative art of the sport. Maeve McMahon - Maeve is a fourth-year humanities student minoring in Greek and Roman studies, who is very sad to be saying goodbye to NORTH this year. They say that if someone writes you a sonnet, they love you, but if they write you one hundred sonnets, they love sonnets. I am, once again, this second person.


Émilie Mireault - Émilie is a fourth-year student who, after letting go of her disastrous need to be good at everything, found that drawing was actually pretty fun. She can mostly be found watching anime, playing video games, and/or forcing her friends to listen to her talk about both of those things.


Jenny Murphy - Jenny Murphy is a fourth-year student in the humanities program, with a minor in french. Having worked for thirty years in the Google-Earth-like discipline of Remote Sensing of the Earth, she finds it refreshing to confront humanity on a more personal level, studying their literature, religion, and philosophy over time. Interaction with the student cohort is vital for this experience.


Mariana Neyens - Mariana Neyens is a first-year humanities and biology student. She loves to write poetry, short stories, and to compose original instrumental songs.


Charlotte Rahme - Charlotte Rahme is a fourth-year humanities and Greek and Roman studies student who often writes poetry inspired by the extraordinary people she meets.


Ben Skene - Ben Skene is a third-year student that was happy to bring his creativity and love of history together for a recreation of the Mask of Agamemnon.


Kayla Stafford - Kayla is a third-year humanities and religion student. She is always in the kitchen baking and experimenting with new recipes if she isn't learning a new song on the guitar.
