Fractions assessment ideas

For the assessment piece, I used a combination of the abstract art design portfolio task from the Australia Curriculum, the Mondrian Art ideas and inspiration from a Jon Spencer podcast about meta cognition to create this task. I found that my students wanted a framework as a guide during tasks that were open. For some it was needed for them to start and visualise what they were supposed to do and others it was needed from them to know if they had been successful or not.
