My Main Goal
To focus tax priorities to be more efficient and beneficial for the betterment of Port Dalhousie and it's residents, for a happier future, and an even happier present.
I will achieve this by:
Having public council meetings that anyone can view, and this too goes for any changes proposed to the tax system.
Proposing and fighting for more economically viable choices, fund allocations, and people's opinion.
Our Heritage Matters
I will always fight for locals, such as businesses, neighborhoods, and general population.
I will listen to and work with the Port Dalhousie Business Association (PDBA) to increase tourism, economic growth, and happiness among the community.
Alongside this, I will ensure that our community's wonderful heritage is protected and preserved. This includes ensuring that land developers keep true to the city's architectural spirit and follow height and size guidelines for structures that are to be constructed.
I will also ensure the preservation of the farmlands, city green spaces, and martindale pond, these places have a great amount of soul and are an environmentally integral part of Port Dalhousie.
Homeless Encampments and Relief Efforts
Starting this effort by increasing homelessness awareness and visibility, this topic is ugly, and due to that it is ignored, forgotten, and swept under the rug.
I will strive to not only increase awareness of the growing problem, but I will help to alleviate it by pushing for the construction of homeless encampments, and helping to home and house those in need.
This will go hand-in-hand with having increased healthcare to those in need, with support systems and addiction care improvements.
Due to a lack of currently existing support systems, expensive housing, and overall discontent for those in need, this issue has grown, and that brings sorrow onto not only my heart, but as a whole, Port Dalhousie.
Also, a push to decrease cost of living for those who can, not only, not afford life and housing, but can barely survive, if at all. Many people, families, even whole neighborhoods are struggling to survive in our economy, I strive to atleast reduce the weight of the world for those who need it. Too many people are drowning in a world they didn't have a part in making that way, why should they continue to be punished?
