NordBio II – Nordic Midsummer
Symposium on Biocatalysis
When? 13-14 June 2024
Where? KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm (Sweden)
Conference description
Welcome to the 2nd Nordic Midsummer Symposium on Biocatalysis from 13-14 June 2024 at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
NordBio is jointly organised by KTH Royal Institute of Technology (SE), Technical University of Denmark (DK) and AstraZeneca (SE/UK).
This newly formed interdisciplinary meeting series aims to connect researchers from the Nordic countries, Europe and beyond.
Close to the Nordic midsummer NordBio II offers plenty of opportunities for scientific discussions and networking.
We look forward to welcoming you in Stockholm!
NordBio II celebrates the 80th birthday of Prof. Karl Hult.
Karl Hult (Kalle) is Professor emeritus of Biochemistry at KTH. At this symposium we want to acknowledge his important contributions to the field of biocatalysis.
Mission of NordBio
Latest advances of biocatalysis, spanning enzyme engineering, new biotransfomations, synthetic biology, organic chemistry and bioprocess engineering.
Connecting students, early-career and established researchers from the Nordic countries, Europe and beyond.
Bringing together researchers in the field of biocatalysis such as synthetic biology, organic chemistry and bioprocess engineering.
Platform for networking and new collaborations.
Low conference fee to encourage young researchers to attend.
Themes
Novel enzymes & enzyme engineering
Biocatalytic routes towards new pharmaceutical modalities
