Saturdays, 8:00 AM (Pacific) on the KE6YUV repeater, 146.970 MHz (minus offset) PL 123.0. In an actual emergency, this net will pass traffic from Stake ERC Specialists to the NorCal ERC VHF Net Control Operator, then to Area leadership via the NorCal ERC Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator. Assigned ERC Specialists for each Stake and Coordinating Council should monitor this net in an emergency for important information at 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, or if traffic is steady, at the top of each hour.
Stake and Ward ERC Specialists should test their readiness to communicate by operating local ERC Nets via repeaters and/or simplex on VHF & UHF bands. Before beginning a regular net schedule, always get approval of the repeater owner before using the repeater for your net, even if it is an "Open" repeater. All amateurs are welcome to participate.
"Church talk" and terminology should be avoided on the air - keep it professional and plain language for all audiences. Do not proselyte or promote your faith or church activities on the air - amateur radio is not for promotion of self or any entity. Do not discuss politics - it is divisive. Review and always comply with FCC Part 97.
Tuesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM (Pacific). Assigned ERC radio operators (ERC Coordinators) for each of the Regional Bishops Storehouses in USA and Canada participate in SSB, Winlink, and Echolink nets on 40 and 80 meters to check readiness and handle priority traffic to/from Salt Lake City.
Traffic from Stake ERC Specialists should flow through the ERC VHF and HF nets to the NorCal ERC Coordinator. The Area Authority or Self-Reliance Services Manager may opt to call for aid via the NorCal ERC Coordinator and HQ Net.
