- Para empezar, page 4 of your packet. Fill in the Infinitive/Indicative/Subjunctive chart (use the notes below if needed), then complete the activity.
- Use an infinitive when there is only one subject in the sentence and the first verb is already conjugated. Examples: Yo quiero ir a la tienda. / Es importante entender las reglas del subjuntivo.
- Use the indicative in a sentence that has two subjects connected by a que when you are conjugating the first verb and if the first verb tells you that there is NO doubt, or that something is true. Examples: Es la verdad que mi madre tiene una Tesla. / Ellos no dudan que yo soy una estudiante excelente.
- Use the subjunctive when there is a trigger verb, a que, and a new subject. Trigger verbs show will/volition, emotions, doubt/denial/disbelief, or are in the form of impersonal expressions (except those that show truth).
