Well Sophronia, {Sophronia Troupe} I have carpet enough to lay my house up-stairs and downstairs, slacking one breath in the kitchen. In the Spring, if I live that long, I will make enough for one more breath through the kitchen.
Well, we was down to the county line to meeting at Christmas. We enjoyed ourselves very well. Andy {Andrew Jackson Foster} said he seen as good (unreadable) there as he ever saw. We was going there the Sunday Jonas Foster was here, to quarterly meeting, but it rained all Sunday.
Well, I hant got homesick yet. We have good prayer meeting out here.
I wish you all a Happy New Year. We are going down to the county line to the (unreadable) meeting if nothing happens.
Well I guess Lydia will to for Ohio in a few weeks or atleast she said so. The folks are all well. Seany {Sarah Delcena Hutchins} and Jerome {Jerome Hutchins} went down to the county line to meeting a Monday, when we got back, then will stay til Friday.
Well I have a splendid Cow. I make butter to sell. Butter is twenty two and three cents a pound.
Well, it rains every couple of days and I guess it didn’t agree with Andy’s {Andrew Jackson Foster} horses on the train, for (unreadable) lost her colt. Well it is luck after all that it didn’t hurt her mare.
Well my babes often talks of Grandma. They want Grandma {Sarah Hampshire Stahl} to come see us.
Well, I hope you will all remember us and come out here and see us as soon as you can.
So no more. Write soon if you please.
