I take my pen in hand to let you know what we are doing. We are chopping and making saw logs. Me and Amos [Amos Troupe] was to Lansing yesterday. Me and Amos are going off in the spring.
Write and if you have heard of Eli [Eli Hampshire] yet. It is good sleighing. So no more from Israel to Sophronia Troupe.
The small pox are bad in Lansing and there is a railroad going through either to Diamondale about 1 ½ west of here or it will go through Pop’s [John Troupe] place. We don't know which.
