Commitment to Anti-Discrimination

The NOAC program strictly adheres to the anti-discrimination policies of it's academic institutions, Kent State University and the University of Akron. There shall be no unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, ancestry, genetic information, military or veteran status.  This policy also aligns with the anti-discrimination policies inherent in the Code of Ethics of our national audiology organizations, and the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology's (CAA's) Standard 1.8. The NOAC program will not tolerate discrimination of any kind.  If found to be occurring, disciplinary action will be taken and could include dismissal from the program.

Our faculty is committed to promoting a safe environment where every student feels welcome. Our curriculum and clinical education reflect our multicultural society. We want our students to learn from and about people who are different from them.
