Hello! My name is Noah Mowery, and I am currently a student at Baldwin Wallace University, pursuing a degree with a focus on Business Management, Human Resource Management, and Digital Marketing. Over the past few years, my interest in digital marketing has developed through classroom learning and practical experiences, inside and outside academic settings.
Throughout my journey, I have cultivated skills in social media strategy, graphic design, SEO, content creation, and brand management—areas that have become particular passions of mine. I am especially motivated by the opportunity to blend creativity with data-driven strategy to develop marketing plans that resonate with audiences and make a meaningful impact.
With over three years of immersion in the digital marketing field, I am excited to continue advancing my skills and contributing to projects that inspire and engage. I look forward to applying my background and passion in this field as I step into the next phase of my career.
Academic Background
I'm currently working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Management and Innovation & Human Resource Management at Baldwin Wallace University, expecting to graduate in May 2025. I’m proud to have maintained a 3.84 GPA, earned a consistent spot on the Dean's List, and received the BW President’s Scholarship since 2021, which recognizes my commitment to academic excellence and leadership. After receiving my bachelor's, I will start my MBA program at BWU in Strategic Marketing.
Professional Experience
In 2018, I founded The Thrifting Tree, LLC, an e-commerce business specializing in curated second-hand/thrifted clothing online. Building this brand has been a rewarding journey, from researching trends to developing a merchandising strategy that resonates with my target audience. I’ve grown my Instagram following to over 4,500 and increased my web traffic by 1400% since launch, with a loyal customer base who appreciates the company's unique aesthetic and mission. Running this business has given me experience in everything from branding and design to building a Shopify store from scratch, and I’m proud to have reached over 4,000 sales, along with a 30% repeat customer rate.
In my spare time, I have also become a marketing and social media intern with the Baldwin Wallace David & Frances Brain Center for Community Engagement. This has been an exciting opportunity to unify and revamp their social media presence. I consolidated over twenty separate Instagram accounts into a cohesive platform and introduced a short-form video strategy, which boosted social media engagement by 864% in just three months. I also assisted with event planning and helped our departments enhance their brand visibility, drawing on my experience in graphic design and social media strategy.
Leadership and Volunteer Experience
Serving as Treasurer and Social Media Manager for the Baldwin Wallace Black Student Alliance (BWBSA) has been one of my most impactful roles. Working with fellow board members, I secured a 200% budget increase to expand our diversity-centered events, and collaborated with our Black Cultural Center to foster a supportive and inclusive campus community.
As a Brain Fellow with the Baldwin Wallace Brain Center, I organized the second annual “Buzzin’ Black Friday” vendor market to highlight local Black-owned businesses. I managed our social media outreach and collaborated closely with local vendors, achieving a successful turnout of over 300 attendees. This role also allowed me to attend the 2023 NASPA Racial Equity and Social Change Conference in Washington D.C., where I contributed strategies to promote inclusivity within campus environments.
Skills and Tools
I'm proficient in Microsoft Office, various social media platforms, and design tools like Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, and Final Cut Pro. I enjoy leveraging these skills to develop strategic marketing and branding campaigns, both in my personal projects and professional roles, and I look forward to applying them in future endeavors.
