Retention Items:
Retention of the installation of inappropriate windows - Approve but remove 1/2 screens and recess mount the windows at the side and rear elevations as well as the second floor front camelback façade.
Staff Recommendations:
On August 22, 2023 HDLC Staff performed a visual inspection and noted that work had been completed at the property. All of the work completed was part of a scope applied for in 2019 for which a permit was never issued. Staff noted that the windows, while approvable in style and pane configuration, were not recess mounted and had half screens. Prior to the renovation the historic windows at the side elevations were not extant. Staff recommends the approval of the windows with the proviso that they be recess mounted and that the half screens be removed.
