About Miriam
Miriam Jacobson
Miriam is a Research Associate in Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC) at the University of Texas at Austin Texas Advanced Computing Center. She earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Brandeis University and received her Masters and Doctorate in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods at Claremont Graduate University. She previously worked at ICF as a Lead Research Scientist and studied workforce development initiatives at the federal and local level. Outside of work, Miriam enjoys listening to podcasts, gardening, and hiking.
Miriam’s work focuses on understanding the implementation and outcomes of STEM education programs for high school and higher education students. In this work, she is interested in the role of community systems and strengths-based approaches to helping students be successful in their education and careers. Miriam has conducted research on culturally responsive evaluation approaches and effective practices for disseminating research data.
