Aaron Jaramillo is a passionate edtech leader with over 20 years of K-12 education and technology experience. In his early career, he worked as a Web Manager for New Mexico Highlands University, Albuquerque Public Schools, Central New Mexico Community College, and the Department of Interior EEO Office in Washington D.C. implementing and managing several systems and large organizational websites. In addition, he served as an Art Teacher and Program Manager for adult learners and private schools throughout southern California - he later taught ES Visual Arts and HS Art, Film and Computer Graphics in New Mexico. As the current Sr. Director of Educational Technology at Albuquerque Public Schools, he is a student advocate and oversees a team of innovative professional developers. He holds a B.A. in Visual Communication Design and M.A. in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership and is an active member with ISTE and CoSN serving as the President of the New Mexico Society of Technology in Education (NMSTE). His favorite tech tool is his camera, where he spends lots of time capturing and sharing his family, friends, and life experiences with photos and video.
