The Department of Radiology at Era's Lucknow Medical College & Hospital (ELMC&H), Era University, Lucknow stands as a premier Radio Diagnosis and Imaging facility in North India. Recently, they acquired a cutting-edge MRI machine known for its high resolution and precise diagnostic capabilities, particularly in CNS and musculoskeletal disease diagnosis. This department boasts a dedicated mammography coil for MR mammograms, excelling in diffusion and MRCP sequences. Moreover, they house a range of modern equipment, including Spiral CT Scanners, Mammography machines, High-Resolution Colour Dopplers, advanced Ultrasound, and state-of-the-art X-ray machines.
ELMC&H has achieved a remarkable milestone by being the first medical college in India and the inaugural institution in Asia to acquire the World's Fastest 400 Slices CT Scanner, performing scans in just 0.25 seconds with Frontier Software. They've also installed the Somatom Force CT Scan Machine, known for its remarkable speed, capable of scanning the entire heart in about 150 milliseconds and the thorax-abdomen in one second. This machine offers kidney-friendly scans and low-dose early detection, "free-breathing" CT imaging, and versatile scan modes. ELMC&H is at the forefront of preventive care, motion-freezing technology, and advanced decision-making through 4D imaging at reduced radiation doses.
