We advocate for Peace Corps and issues directly related to goals of Peace Corps in various ways. These include feature articles or letters in the local or major newspapers, and national campaigns to promote Peace Corps with congressional delegations.
Of interest is the campaign to honor all current and former Peace Corps Volunteers with the Congressional Gold Medal. A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives (House Bill 5521), the Peace Corps Volunteers Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2025.

Latest on the Peace Corps Park in Washington D.C
The Peace Corps Park continues to take shape - a national monument just steps from the U.S. Capitol and National Mall that will honor 250,000 Peace Corps Volunteers and celebrate the values of service and cultural understanding. So far, 2300 people have contributed more than $6.6 million to make this a reality, including $500 from the New Mexico Peace Corps Association.
